Dried Fruit Compote

Preparation time: approx. approx. 10 min

  • 1 cup Dried Fruit
  • 1/2 cup Grappa or White Rum
  • 3 tbsp Crescendo Almond Oil or Crescendo Hazelnut Oil
  • some Ice Cream, apple pie, pancakes or anything else

Directions:

  1. The dried fruit should be any combination of Dates, Figs, Apricots, Cherries, Golden Raisins.
  2. Pour the alcohol over the fruit and place in the fridge over night.
  3. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat once the pan is hot pour in the fruit and alcohol and cook until the liquid is evaporated. Stir occasionally to prevent burning.
  4. Place the cooked fruit into a bowl and stir in the Almond or Hazelnut oil. Store this chilled.
  5. Serve over ice cream, apple pie, pancakes, or anywhere you feel the extra fruit flavor is needed.
