Drunken shrimp -- you may have seen a dish by this name on a menu in your country, but those are usually cooked. In Shanghai, China, drunken shrimp are served in a bowl—alive and swimming in sweet alcohol. The alcohol makes them less feisty, but, with little claws, they bite back as you try to eat them. We prefer to get them fresh but not alive.
